Ladies in Academic Management Still Face Systemic Barriers

In spite of the development made over the last few years, gender inequality stays a prevalent concern in the legal occupation, especially in academic community, that includes ladies still being underrepresented in prominent positions and dealing with systemic predisposition, discrimination and harassment that restrict their development.

‘ Gender Violence’

In early December, the University of Pennsylvania president Liz Magill resigned after offering testament at a congressional hearing concerning the university’s handling of viewed acts of antisemitism, and hardly a month later on, Harvard University president Claudine Gay– the university’s very first Black president and 2nd lady to lead the organization– resigned over reaction concerning the university’s action to antisemitism on school, which resulted in increased examination of her background.
