Source – Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo had foot surgical treatment in March

HENDERSON, Nev.– Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went through surgical treatment on his hurt left foot after signing a totally free representative agreement with the group in March, a league source verified to ESPN on Thursday.

” All trending excellent,” a source stated.

Garoppolo signed a three-year, $72.75 million handle Las Vegas on March 17, though his initial press conference was postponed a day.

” He’s going through his procedure much like we understood he would,” Raiders coach Josh McDaniels stated. “Absolutely nothing has actually occurred that would shock us based upon the details we had.”

McDaniels would not enter the specifics of whether Garoppolo went through a treatment, which was initially reported by The Athletic.

McDaniels stated just that there were not a surprises which the QB would not be on the field for the start of OTA practices. He did permit that Garoppolo may be out till the start of training school, however.

Garoppolo suffered the injury in Week 13 with the San Francisco 49ers last season and did not return.

First-round draft choice Tyree Wilson, the Texas Tech edge rush taken seventh total in last month’s draft, was likewise out, still rehabbing his surgically fixed best foot, which was hurt on Nov. 12.

” We understand we do not play video game for over 100 days, so they’re doing whatever they can do to solve,” McDaniels stated. “And when they’re all prepared to go, then ultimately they’ll be back on the field.

” A few of them might be prepared prior to the spring is over; a few of them might not. And we’re constantly going to err at this time of the year on being clever. … To attempt to hurry them out there to get them out there in May, that’s a bad choice. … They remain in all the conferences– all the football things that they can do that aren’t endangering any person’s capability to be prepared to go here for the season.”
